In ancient Rome, Saint Valentine was locked up for performing weddings for soldiers who at that time were not allowed to get married. 
Before his execution, he wrote a letter to the daughter of his jailer that he had recently healed signing it, “Your Valentine.”
In 1700s Europe, it became a romantic theme and began to look more like it does today. By the mid-1800s Valentine’s Day caught 
on in the United States.

WHY POINSETTIAS AT CHRISTMAS? Here at the Boca Raton Florist we've received another batch of beautiful Poinsettias ready for Christmas. Have you ever wondered why Poinsettias became synonymous with Christmas and where they come from? It turns out that they are native to Central America, particularly Southern Mexico, where they were known by the Aztecs as 'cuetlaxochitl'. Celebrating 75 Years Of Delivering Beautiful Flowers to Boca Raton and Beyond!

Federal Highway. In 1960, the name was changed to Boca Raton Florist according to our friends at the Boca Raton Historical Society.    In 1985 the new store was built at 301 S.
